Labour MP contacts Chief Superintendent about Police Office Opening Hours
Labour MP Sandra Osborne has written to Chief Superintendent John Thomson expressing concern that Girvan Police Office might be affected by a current review of Police Office opening hours.
Sandra said:
I have written to The Chief Superintendent to ask for clarification about what the review might mean for the Girvan area and the timescale for any decisions that might be taken.
Sandra added:
The Girvan office has already suffered cutbacks in hours over the last few years and given that it serves such a large area and widely spread population I would be concerned at moves to further limit the service.
Sandra has said she will now monitor the situation very carefully over the coming months.
