Sandra Osborne, MP is reminding off grid consumers within her constituency of Ayr, Carrick & Cumnock to be prepared for winter by planning ahead with their fuel.
Sandra said:
Over recent winters we have endured, at times, extreme weather conditions. This has often in these times meant that the supply of oil and gas to off grid customers is disrupted. I would urge constituents, particularly those living in rural areas, to plan ahead. Make sure that you are prepared for the possibility of your fuel supply being disrupted and top up early. Consider what it would mean if your delivery in the depths of winter were to be delayed by seven or more days. I have in previous winters liaised with companies delivering both oil and gas to off grid customers who had had to deal with such delays. This can be extremely dangerous for the elderly or for those with young children and at best extremely uncomfortable.
