Welcome to my website
Keir Hardie was my kind of socialist. He lived and worked in Cumnock. Proud to be Scottish, he helped found the Scottish Labour Party, the British Labour Party and build up the Trade Union Movement. He became an MP in the UK Parliament, first for an English seat and then for a Welsh one.
He was outward looking and progressive, fighting hard for a Scottish Parliament within the UK, women's suffrage, self rule in India and an end to segregation in South Africa. No wonder we are so proud of him in Ayrshire.
These pages tell you a bit about myself, the issues I feel strongly about, and the work I do as an MP. You can find out how to contact me for advice, help or a surgery appointment. Check whether you are one of my constituents here and here to read about the various ways I may be able to help.
I have experienced hard working staff in my constituency office who will be happy to help you with your enquiries in the first instance. You can also find out how to contact your local Labour Councillor here
